As we told before each letter grade is assigned a numerical value with a 4.0 scale. Letter A has 4.0, B has 3.0 and up to F note is subtracted 1.0 grade. Another more precise system is the 4.3 scale which is related to letter grading with operators of (+) and (-). In this scale letter, A+ has 4.3 grade points, A has 4.0, A- has 3.7, and so on. For each grade going down from A+ to D subtract a 0.3 grade, apart from F that is equal to 0. Weighted vs. Unweighted GPA
Weighted and unweighted GPA, both have a different way of evaluating the subject difficulty. Subjects that are advanced such as AP or IB are given greater point values by including 4.0 scale or higher (GPA of 5.0) for Weighted GPA.
